I have a Behavioural Science Technology diploma from St. Lawrence College and have used it to serve others for the past 32 years, supporting change through behaviour modification and therapy. The most recent 10 years I have supported folks working with Dr. Beckett using neurotherapy to maximize their health and well being.  I have specialty training in qEEG brain mapping, neurofeedback and neuromodulation techniques.  I am also a registered yoga teacher and a psychological first aid instructor.

My free time is spent in my personal yoga practice, gardening and biking on all the great trails we have here in eastern Ontario.  One interesting fun fact about my life is that I have attended circus arts classes and even once did a flying trapeze class, talk about enlightenment-25 feet in the air!

I am looking forward to meeting you all at Clearmind!
See you soon:) Mary

Dr. Linda Beckett, MD, CCFP

BCIA Board Certified in Neurofeedback

Medical Director

I am a Family Doctor specialist in Mental Health.  From the beginning of my education, I knew that I was headed for mental health care and so in addition, completed a PGY3 residency year in psychiatry.  My practice is situated right at the heart of the intersection of psychological symptoms and the biology that underpins them. I am a body based psychotherapist.  I am trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR and  Brainspotting which are all body based trauma therapies that use the underlying nervous system to access and release patterns that cause symptoms.

In 2009 I was blown away by my first Neurofeedback session.  I had a cerebral aneurysm the year before and, while I was probably 80% recovered, I still had serious problems with brain fog and multi tasking.  After my very first neurofeedback session I had a tremendous shift in clarity. I was so impressed, I bought my first NF system 5 days later and have not looked back.

In 2010 I co-founded the first neurofeedback clinic in Eastern Ontario and since then neurofeedback has become much more widely available and I have seen it transform lives of others in similar ways.   As you can see, I am passionate about this technology and about helping people live happy full and free lives.  I look forward to working together.  LB

Maxwell Beckett, MSW, RSW
Social Worker/Psychotherapist

I am a social worker/psychotherapist and I work both online and in person. My BSW and MSW were done at Wilfrid Laurier University where I was trained in psychotherapy and the fine art of supporting people exactly where they are and in facilitating the change they long for.

I love working with youth and those in early to mid adulthood trying to figure out their path and their authentic selves.  I also work a lot with adults with anxiety, depression and/or ADHD. I offer both short term and longer term psychotherapy to help people find the life they love.

You will often see my therapy cat Thermometer Jones participating in our sessions as she walks past or tries to sit directly on my keyboard!

Looking forward to working with you!

Dr. Susan Chiddix

Clinical

Psychologist

Since graduating with my Ph.D. in Counselling Psychology in 1985, my passion has been to hold a respectful and supportive space for my clients as they undertake the often-challenging journey of inner exploration.

Through the years I have sought training in techniques designed to be efficient and therefore minimize the time and discomfort involved in the change process. The approaches I use include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, Focusing and Gestalt Therapy. In addition, I am certified in Rapid Transformational Therapy and clinical hypnosis.

However, psychotherapy is not just about employing techniques, but rather must happen on a foundation of the client's ideas, feelings, and needs. I always make it clear that I am open to feedback and discussion if the client believes there are any blocks or issues in the therapeutic alliance.

I work with adults who report a wide variety of issues including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety disorders including Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and phobias, relationship issues, low self-esteem and confidence issues, recovery from sexual abuse, stress management, procrastination, and addictions including smoking and compulsive over-eating.
